Nick Brunsdon appointed to Infometrics board of directors
Economics consulting firm Infometrics is pleased to announce that Nick Brunsdon, Principal Economist and Lead Demographer, has been appointed to our board of directors.
Nick joined Infometrics in 2019 as part of the regional team and immediately added different perspectives and thinking, something Infometrics highly values. He led the team in developing Infometrics' population projection model. This model stands apart in the market as it considers the economic prospects of regions as drivers of population growth. He also led the redevelopment of Infometrics Quarterly Economic monitor and expanded its coverage of socio-economic indicators.
Nick is client focussed and enjoys regular interaction with clients across the country – supporting them with economic insights, training workshops and presentations. He also carries out consulting work for a variety of public and private sector clients including many economic impact assessments.
Earlier this year, Nick was promoted to Principal Economist and Lead Demographer, and in July he was appointed to the board. "Nick is a key part of our team, delivering excellent insights into regional economies across New Zealand,” says Chris Whelan, Chairperson of the Infometrics Board. “He brings a fresh perspective to the board, in line with our tradition of critical thinking. Chief Executive Brad Olsen, the Directors, and I look forward to working with Nick in the coming years as we continue to serve our clients across the country."
This appointment recognises Nick's exceptional contributions and dedication to Infometrics and the energy he brings to our work into the future.
